The Club 2009

 

The club is well placed to take advantage of the successes of 2008. We have some of the best suburban rugby facilities available at Boronia Park Oval. Having two fully lit ovals ensures we have sufficient resources for our teams to train, as well as compete. This also ensures the clubs ability to play Friday night games, in the 10 to 12 age groups, which not only provides a great social environment to enjoy junior rugby but also allows boys to compete in school sport and activities as well as pursue other sporting interests.

 

Much thought is being given at present to the coaching of our junior players, with a prevailing view that the club has an onus to ensure that :

  • Every child is provided the opportunity to play rugby at a level that they have confidence in their ability and are made to feel that they are valuable member of their team 
  • That the enjoyment of playing and training for rugby is considered at all times

In addressing these two concepts, the club can then go a long way in ensuring our major goals of retaining boys to the junior game year in year out and ensuring their development as rugby players. Hunters Hill offers:
